The team at CSMC (Copyright Safe Music Collective) has been burning the candle at both ends, to finish their new website, which is finally live, today (August 31st, 2026)!

The website is a carefully-curated centralized hub for safe to use, royalty free and ultimately, copyright-safe music. Over 5,000 tracks at launch, with new tracks and albums being added weekly and monthly.

Those familiar with the likes of Kevin MacLeod (“Monkeys Spinning Monkeys”), and Karl Casey (White Bat Audio), pretty much the artist you go to when you need synthwave, dark synthwave, and John Carpenter-esque 80s horror score music), know that these two people alone provide an absolute goldmine of music for your content, as a YouTuber and Twitch streamer!

The website also features lesser-known but high-quality catalog artists, such as Excellete / Crystal Dragon Beats, StreamKitty, Slamhaus, and Bulgarian electronic artist ChromaCat.

Common and outdated misnomers for copyright-safe music:
“royalty-free”, “no copyright”, “copyright free”, “non-copyrighted”, etc. The correct term all content creators should use, going forward, is copyright safe music. And why? Because it simply means… it’s copyrighted (as music should always be, to protect the artists), but they (the artists) want you to use it, and you’re free to use it, because you need great music for your content.
